This week, we have the wonderful opportunity to meet in a place that celebrates the very heart and history of our community –
TheLos Lunas Museum of Heritage & Arts.
When: Noon on September 9, 2025 Where: 251 Main St NE, Los Lunas, NM 87031
Please remember — we will NOT be meeting at our regular location this week. Instead, let’s come together in this inspiring setting to celebrate fellowship, service, and the heritage that connects us to our community.
We look forward to seeing you there!
We had the pleasure of welcoming the boys who attended RYLA Camp this summer. Their stories had us smiling and laughing as they admitted most of them didn’t really know what to expect—and some weren’t too excited to go at first. But once there, the experience was nothing like they had imagined. Each of them shared how much fun they had, the friendships they made, and the leadership lessons they gained. A few even said they’ll be encouraging next year’s juniors to attend, and some are already considering returning as camp counselors!
A special thank-you goes out to Linda Ohle, whose encouragement and dedication played a huge role in getting these young leaders involved in RYLA. We were all thrilled to see her at our meeting and to recognize her efforts.
The votes are in! 🗳️ The winning name will be revealed during our September 16th meeting. You won’t want to miss it—this meeting is also when the girls who attended RYLA Camp will share their experiences. If the boys’ stories were any indication, we’re in for another inspiring and entertaining program.
What an inspiration it was to hear from the young men who attended RYLA Camp last week! Their stories were uplifting, funny, and full of reminders of why Rotary invests in youth leadership. Each one of them came back with a new perspective, stronger friendships, and a commitment to lead in their schools and communities.
Looking ahead, we have more to celebrate. Next week, we’ll hear from the young women of RYLA, and I can’t wait to see their energy and leadership shine through. We’ll also be unveiling the winner of our “Name that Lunch!” contest—so don’t miss it!
Finally, let’s mark our calendars for September 23rd, when we welcome our District Governor for the official club visit. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to share the great work our club is doing and to be inspired by Rotary leadership at the District level. Let’s show up strong and give the Governor a warm Los Lunas welcome.
Thank you all for your dedication and the spirit of service you bring to our club. Together, we continue to make a difference.
